WIRAB Chair Mary Throne participated in the 2023 FERC Reliability Technical Conference in a discussion of the potential impacts on reliability from proposed regulations from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on regulating greenhouse gas emissions from electric generation resources. She emphasized the importance of regulatory entities and stakeholders needing to proactively engage in the regulatory processes to ensure that the final adoption of these energy policies mitigates the impacts on grid reliability.
