Completion of WIEB Enhanced Solar PV Deployment Project

With the help of the western states, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and funding provided by the U.S. Department of Energy-Solar Energy Technologies Office, WIEB has completed its Enhanced Solar PV Deployment Project.

Through this project, WIEB worked with its National Lab Partners to conduct research on removing barriers to distributed solar photovoltaic deployment in the Western Interconnection, including interconnection, reliability, and utility rate design barriers.  This work culminated in several research reports and research findings that WIEB, with the help of its National Laboratory partners, was able to share with state electric utility policymakers and regulators across the West.  These research reports are available on the WIEB’s Enhanced Solar PV Deployment webpage.
