EV Policies:

Utah has not adopted a statewide ZEV mandate. The state offers a tax credit for the conversion of vehicles to alternative fuels (Utah Code 59-7-605; 59-10-1009). EV owners pay an annual registration fee of $140.25, plug in hybrid owners $59.25, and other hybrid owners $23.25, indexed annually for inflation (Utah Code 41-1a-1206). Utah is a signatory to the Regional Electric Vehicle Plan for the West (REV West) MOU.
