Western Interconnection Regional Advisory Body (WIRAB) is conducting its monthly teleconference to discuss current initiatives and activities of WIRAB. The purpose of the monthly meetings is for WIRAB Staff to provide WIRAB Representatives with progress reports on key initiatives and activities, to educate WIRAB Representatives on key reliability topics, and to seek input on the development of WIRAB advice to FERC, NERC, WECC, and the Reliability Coordinators.
Items to be discussed at this month’s meeting include:
- WIRAB’s Advice on oversight and governance of the CAISO RC;
- WIRAB’s Advice to Peak Reliability on the transition to future RCs;
- WIRAB’s role in oversight of Western RCs described in a letter sent to FERC from concerned advocacy groups;
- WIRAB’s Initiative for WECC to provide event analysis briefings to policymakers and regulators; and more
