Energy Storage:

In 2020, the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) clarified that energy storage is a generation asset, not transmission or distribution.  

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) provides funding for energy storage projects through the Smart Grid Program and the Clean Energy Innvoation Program (CEIP).
