Energy Storage:
In 2020, the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada adopted biennial energy storage procurement targets for NV Energy starting at 100 MW by the end of 2020 and increasing to 1,000 MW by the end of 2030 (SB 204, 2017; PUCN Order No. 44671). Qualified storage counts double toward RPS compliance and is eligible for the state’s Renewable Energy Tax Abatement Program (SB 448, 2021).
