Building Codes:
Wyoming is a home rule state. The state has a voluntary building code for both residential and commercial buildings. The residential building code is known as the ICBO Uniform Building Code which is based on the 1989 MEC. The commercial building code is also known as the ICBO Code and based on the 1989 MEC. Eight cities and counties have adopted more stringent codes for residential and commercial buildings that meet or exceed the IECC 2006.
Appliance Standards:
Wyoming has not set appliance standards beyond the federal appliance standards.
